Please if you can help and advise?
I have just joined Amazon Retail as sr Program Manager a month ago. I miss banking/technology now. I have heard that I can move teams. I know it’s too early so I don’t know how to approach this situation and potential HMs. Reaching out to this community to seek help if you have similar roles for which you (or your network) is hiring, would you be able to help? It’s better to be in a relevant role and be best than performing poor in current role. Please help.

I’m reading this in my office with one leg folded in my chair! I do this quite often and when I’m WFH I tend to sit with both legs crossed in my chair. I think I’ve heard that sitting like this is common with ADHDers. I still just use a regular office chair both at home and work. I find the wider the chair the comfier sitting like this is. Bonus points for adjustable arm rests to ensure I don’t get stuck.
Hmm... I am a very fidgety person that can't sit still or can't sit in the same position long, so yeah I definitely sit in some weird positions lol. I never associated that with ADHD though, that's interesting. I think I notice my ADHD mostly in my inability to sit still for very long. I have to get up and move frquently
I never knew this was an ADHD symptom but HOLY CRAP it makes so much sense. I took the arms off my office chair so I can sit cross-legged. I’ve looked at the Pipersong meditation chair but have never tried one and can’t speak to it. (It’s TikTok famous and the NYTimes even wrote an article about it.)
I do this every day at work too! And halfway through eating at nice restaurants, I’m mortified when it hits me I’m doing it in public.
However, during my late 30s/now at 40, I found that sitting with both legs crossed for long periods in most office chairs started causing pain and weakness in my hip flexors (and along with running, contributed to a partial labral tear). Most ergonomic office chairs surprisingly don’t allow the seat to adjust downward at over a 90 degree angle from the chair back. A few years ago I scoured the internet for one that would, (but that was under $1k, which was harder than you’d think). I finally found one for $250, but the website I ordered it from no longer exists. But, game changer. Even if you haven’t had that issue, I’d recommend looking for the same feature to help avoid ever having to deal with it.
I definitely always do this and didn't know it would be linked to ADHD. I even find it hard to sit still or with both legs down at restaurants etc. Still use a regular desk chair though

Yes, I have a SecretLab gaming chair that is the absolute tits, and I got my fidgety spouse their “Titan” sized chair that has a seat wide enough to fit one of those TLC channel stars.
She sits cross-legged in it with ease.
Ooo thank you!
My opinion is that social media influencers are armchair diagnosing people improperly. If you think you have it, go online and look at other symptoms and if you have others, talk to your doctor about it but I wouldn’t let a person without a medical decree and knowledge of myself diagnose me
It’s common for adhd-ers not a symptom. But thanks.
Yes I do this too lol
Yep! I bought an extra wide chair for my home office. Love it
Hugging both knees is my fave tbh.
