Help! I booked an award flight thru AA for Japan Airlines. AA did not communication my reservation to JAL or JAL didn’t confirm and this wasn’t communicated to me. We happened to find out accidentally the day before the flight during check-in. AA was not helpful in rebooking (suggested a flight 5 days later). Can I be compensated for this? AA is denying responsibility for extra comp bc it was award travel for a partner airline. Rebooking cost us more than $3000 so I’m pissed.
