Help, I´ve been trying to apply to a different job but it´s been hard. I´m an engineer of 8 years of experience in energy, automation and continuous improvement where i analyze lots of data and program in C, python or R. BASIC I also have strong experience in R&D, entrepreneurship and I´m in the middle of a Lean MBA in Operation Direction. Anyhow, I´m struggling because I don´t get interviews.

I want to move to an MBA related position or data analysis/programming.

I’ve had three jobs so far. Each on I pursued for more pay and responsibility.

I got them by doing a simple thing. Finding the hiring manager on LinkedIn and sending him/her my engineering portfolio and resume. This gets you right in front of all the other options and opens a dialogue with company rather than leaving your resume at the hands of HR or a automated reviewer.

Had an interview for an associate position at Citi. Interviewee was based in London and I’m in NYC. The only interview time that worked was 6am. I was barely functioning and feel like I truly messed up in my answers because I couldn’t not think clearly. I have another with the head of the division next week again at 6am (pre determined before this interview). It was also hard because the division’s core work is private enough that there was not much prep I could do beforehand. Tips?

What is revenge Job Hopping?

It is a phenomenon observed when a candidate frequently jumps job in order to have a market correction to his salary.
Say person A got settled in his job for 5 years and his current salary is 7lpa..He joined at 4 lpa.
Now for his experience, he can be paid upto 30 lpa for the role.
So after switching for 13 lpa.. He keeps job hopping from 13-19 and 19-28 within a year where he finally feels he is paid adequately.

Had my virtual on-site for an S&O L3 role 3.5 weeks ago (NYC, 5 YOE). I haven’t heard back on a decision yet, and was wondering how long it typically takes? I also know that I was one of the very first candidates to interview for this specific role, and there are atleast 2 more people scheduled for onsites. Does the recruiter typically wait for all candidates to finish their onsites before communicating a decision? Or if I haven’t heard back yet, it’s probably a reject?

Or is it more engineering?

It's my first month in a new job as Product Owner. I went from a company that digital product development was their secondary focus along with consultancy services, to a company that their only focus is the product. The difference in scale as well as the different domain, certainly feeds into my imposter syndrome. What are the things I should focus to achieve within my first few months at the new job?

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?
