Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Consultant is a pretty loose term...
Lets say doing similar work to MBB (fwiw I would include implementation type projects in that too)
So that’s what they ask in Bain’s case interviews...
700k/328m=~0.21%. I don't find it hard to believe that 0.21% of the US "consults" in one way or another. Sure there are major consultancies, but there are also solo practitioners and tiny boutique niche firms (as well as everything in between).
Basing it off this report btw - pretty sure Statista is just a garbage source but not sure.. https://www.statista.com/statistics/419968/number-of-management-consultants-us/#:~:text=Management%20consulting%20is%20a%20growing,reaching%20709%2C750%20consultants%20in%202019.

Might be able to back into it easier with market size. What's the relative estimate for revenue of consulting industry?
Divide that by ~500k and you probably have your number of consultants. You can play with that number, considering I don't know what util targets or bill rates are for various firms.
Can immediately tell you 700k consultants sounds way too high.

I'd say that's a fair starting point. Would peg the number between 75 and 125k management consultants in the US then.
OP, can I get an offer? Did I pass the case interview?
The term consultant is what really is the defining factor in this. Some consulting is just really staff augmentation. Some is cheap h1b tech labor from India using companies like Infosys or tata consulting.
Others are independent consultants. Some are just people who are titled something like sales consultant.
Then you have the advisory at big 4 or similar, which deal with risk, or accounting related work.
Then you have the mbbs, who deal with the heavy stuff.
700,000 is relatively low in my eyes if they are claiming everything I listed above, but if it's just advisory from big 4 and like minded firms like accenture, and includes the elite consulting work as well, it makes sense.
You come here to settle this debate? Isn’t this your job?
