Scenario: US visa expired in 2021. Applied for a Canadian tourist visa to hopefully go for H-1B stamping in Canada once they open appointments.
Biometrics completed. Haven’t received any comm regarding my tourist visa approval. My partner already revived the visa long ago even if we allied together. Could it be because my US visa has expired? The reason I gave for applying for visitor visa was just for tourism purposes.

I slightly dropped my MacBook and apparently (slightly) damaged the keyboard and trackpad as per service Center. I don’t see any visible damage to the system but that’s what they say and are charging me about 28k for this even though my system is in warranty period (will complete a year in a few days). Does anyone think that, while the waiting time for hearings has gotten shorter, the wait times to get decisions at the initial and reconsideration stages are taking longer at the SSA?

Is anyone back to in-person administrative hearings? I recently did an in-person VA disability hearing (VLJ was by video but my client and I went to the regional office for the hearing). Seems like SSA is slowly moving toward in-person again. I’m told July will have in-person OHO hearings locally.
