Hey all. After 8 years being pre-diabetic, my A1C is now over 7 and doctors says I’m diabetic. Looking for any tips on healthy eating. Snack foods that are low in carb in particular! I love things that are crunchy or chocolatey which obviously is an issue. Also love cheese.

Catalina Crunch has great snack foods and cookies. Have no impact on my blood sugar.
Also dark chocolate is best in moderation.

Think of diabetes as if you are Carb intolerant
It is a metabolic disease

Like lactose intolerant folks can’t eat dairy
Diabetics should limit carbs


Try to get your calories from protein (managed not excessive), fat (butter, ghee, olive oils etc not nut oils) use excess fats and carbs through veggies and fruits like berries etc (no apples, bananas, mangoes etc)

I just got a really great offer, only downside is the eligibility for maternity leave is after 12 months of employment. We got a faint positive today but have had so many chemical pregnancies over the past year that I am not confident it will stick this time BUT I am on aspirin and progesterone for this try … so it could.. Anyone else struggling with hormones / mood swings? I am almost 16 weeks and been having a real tough time lately, feeling really down and stressed about things. Sadly, causing tension between me and my partner as well as he cannot relate and seems preoccupied with business as usual. Trying to get out the funk and just telling myself it’s all the hormones.

I see a lot of people who have crippling anxiety here work out to feel better. My crippling anxiety kind of paralysis my legs (or at least feels like it to the point that I can’t even walk). Does anyone have similar symptoms and solution for it?
I am in therapy right now but just wanted to hear from someone who is also going through it

I'm starting to realize that a lot of my life problems are from me trying to treat my depression with alcohol. This is the most sober I've been in a long time and generally I feel a lot better but it would be so easy to get drunk. Physically the consequences are what are keeping me from doing it. It makes me feel really good though and I miss the high, I am grateful that I can resist it now but at least temporarily it was a cure that worked it made me feel accepted and whole.

I have an offer from Mercer to join as module lead with 12.5 fix CTC and annual incentive plan which is not clearly mentioned in offer letter.
