Hey all, what’s the work culture of the financial/consulting industry in dallas? Is it hard to get a job here?

I’m planning to move to the DFW area in a year or so. Since I have some time before I need to look seriously, I’ve been building up my skills more. Like I see a some companies prefer Power BI over tableau (goldman) and houlihan uses dataiku, etc. if anyone has suggestions on popular platforms that dallas companies use /anything in general let me know!

Since i noticed majority of young people currently want to work for FAANG, startups, crypto, Unicorns, want to open their own things, etc. I guess in 2000s and 2010s consulting was a top choice for graduates. But what about now? Would love to listen to your thoughts and observations on that one

What cloud data platform should I learn to be successful in pharma consulting? AWS vs GCP vs Azure.

Any experienced senior managers that have moved between Big 4 firms? Can you speak towards your experience, any struggles, and opportunities in terms of partner promotion? Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. Appreciate the input.

Does anyone have any experience or know of someone who went from FDD to PE operations (think Cerberus COAC). Would be great to hear any insights or thoughts on the jump and transition.

I am canadian pharmacist and looking to switch in pharmaceutical industry in pharmacovigilance or regulatory or clinical research Any idea if any company take without experience. I want to switch form retail and ok with paycut.

Any other first years out there worry that this virtual environment just won’t be able to teach them? I worry I’m not getting the same “plugged in” experience when I can’t knock on a door or walk into an office. Doesn’t help that my anxiety is heightened by feeling so isolated. The learning curve is high enough as is and I’m not sure I’ll ever learn enough virtually to be useful in big law...am I alone?!?
