Hey all, would love some advice. I’m a Business Analyst with 5 YOE and minimal technical skills. And I’m really unhappy where I’m at. Very underpaid, and feel like I’m limited in job opportunities. I want to become more technical but no idea where to even start! I was thinking about starting with a certification but most seems really tough to learn as a newbie. Any guidance/advice on which certs to look at? Was thinking AWS cloud practitioner as a starting point? Any help welcomed!!

As for technical skills. Learn Java if you. Fed clients have tons of Java apps

Mm I'm familiar with nova salaries... If you bounce to another firm they will bump you to close to 6 figs

like

Cloud practitioner is a good cert for business analysts.

like

Second this, AWS cloud practitioner is a good one to get some technical knowledge and you can expand from there. Try getting into product manger role, usually past functional and part technical

How underpaid?

Currently at 74k in DMV area

Define technical. Are you trying to be a programmer/developer? Implement stuff ? Tbh sounds like you just need to find a new company and project.
