Coke isn’t that great either tbh. There’s poor job stability due to constantly getting reorg’d, average pay, and massive corporate bureaucracy which leads to “right arm doesn’t know what the left arm is doing”.
Also fwiw, I interviewed there before I got into consulting and I got a very elitist vibe. “Oh everyone wants to work for THE Coca Cola company….you should consider it an honor to work here”-type vibes
Can echo all but the elitist vibes above, found everyone to be very nice, but the pace of work was fairly slow and for all things it depends on the group
HD I have heard neutral things but know a few people who have worked there 4+ years so it can’t be all bad
From what I have heard, home Depot doesn't really have a good wlb and culture.
I’ve heard similar stories about Home Depot…horribly work culture.
Given the choice I was would pick THD. Seems to be more innovative and stable.
Between those two I would pick THD, but it really depends on the position for WLB. Some positions have really good work life balance and others are awful. It should be a better work life balance than consulting. Also you must be ready to negotiate your salary
OP - what did you end up taking? I’m looking to switch to Coca Cola too
