Definitely keep the 45000 as they will be valued more with preferred and reserve cards
Definitely hold on to them and transfer to a travel partner in the future when travel resumes! Cash out is the lowest valuation / worst use of the points. Unless you need the $450 now to pay off your bills (like you’re living paycheck to paycheck or had some sort of unexpected cost that’s screwed up your budget math), I would hold the points.
Definitely hold on to the points and transfer them once you get either of the sapphire cards. I would also consider the other cards in the chase portfolio to build a better profile and relationship with chase. The CSP has a minimum credit line of $5k and the CSR of $10k so I would build up to that.
Ahh thanks for the context .... you should be fine considering your existing limits and credit score!
I’m going to defend cash back.
In a normal world, my work travel gets me all the points I need to travel as I want. If I was super travel obsessed, or didn’t travel for work, then I see why you’d pick points. But I like work travel to find my points, and cash back to fund my home improvements.
@D1 Absolutely my strategy :) Sorry, intertwined Pay Yourself Back and Cash Back together there.
