I joined as a director last summer. I think it differs by practice, but I found it to be a pretty casual process. I had an HR screener and interviewed with a SD and 2 partners. We mostly just spoke about my experience and the type of work I would like to do. No cases or anything like that. Your HR contact should be able to clarify if you should expect any cases. I used the time to get to know what the interviewers were working on and understanding the firm culture.

I had an interview with 2 senior managers last week for an industry position and it went super well. All behavioral questions. I have an in person interview this week with a director of the group and will be shown around the office. Would you expect this one to be harder or more like trying to figure out if you are a good fit for their group like the previous one? Don’t have any background on what the interview will be like and I really want the job! Any advice would be great.

Has everyone ever heard of Grant Thornton’s “Strategy Associate” position? I have two interviews for this position, and I’m really excited about it. However, the interview is broken up into two parts (behavioral and case study), and I don’t have a clear understanding of what the case study could be. I’m coming from one year of audit experience. I’m not familiar with case studies. I really want to do well on this interview but without proper understanding I don’t feel I will pass the case.
