@Hey everyone I could use your input;

My company is preparing to launch a certification academy with the mission to actually teach leaners about cybersecurity, not just to pass an exam.

We are planning to offer the courses for a period of 6 weeks, do you think that is too long or short?

Would you Prefer virtual or in person or hybrid?
We are planning for about 5hrs a week, do you think that is to much or to little to prepare for a certification?

We are planning to have prices start at 500

It all sounds good, for the most part. How hard is the exam for certification? It might take more time than 5 hours to fit in all the information. Just a thought.

@DS1

It depends on the certification they want to go after, Sec+ would work but CISSP and CISM would probably have to be a long course or more hours during the week

I’d prefer virtual. And it depends on what audience you’re targeting for this. If your audience is going to be working professionals, I’d prefer sessions in the evenings because otherwise it would clash with my work meetings and I won’t be able to keep up with it. I think 5 hours is good and you can have some assignments over the weekend or thing to self study during the weekend.

Yes I think that’s going to be the preferred method of delivery

6 weeks is great but 5 hours of lecture is a bit long. Think about reducing the hours by adding two weeks. I suggest

Do recruiters and Hiring Managers actually review and read resumes? Also tech companies that sell SaaS, what is it with the requirements of having 10 years or more if technical sales experience? Also the ramp up period is not realistic. Average sales cycle for a reputable SaaS provider is 12-24 months. How on earth a start up can state that their ramp up period is 90 days? The company hasn’t had any new sales either. Start up CEO’s… be realistic or seek enough funding to operate.

I have an offer from a start-up which I will be joining next week. Even though I got a hike more than 100% ( current tc: 6lpa, new tc:14lpa) and changed to sde role I am still not satisfied. Seeing all those comp posts on leetcode I felt I can be one of them. But now I am feeling left behind and not able to move on. I know I have no dev experience. But every other person is getting tc more than 25. How can I get rid of this FOMO and focus on learning and growth. Drop your advice in comments sec.

Turns out job wasn’t as advertised. Mutual parting of ways 3/22. Due diligence is critical.
Now interviewing a LOT. Some temp work, I still have “it”. I relate to all gens. Willing to mentor AND learn from all. Tech savvy, CTE from day one. Leads?

This is a recent incident happened to me, was interviewed for tcs, salary discussion happened on 12th March and was told to wait for final approval and was told that offer letter would be rolled out in 2 weeks. Hr did not negotiate on the CTC either. After waiting for a month i tried reaching HR they did not respond. After multiple emails they simply say that they cannot move forward due to high deviations. Guys is this normal in TCS that even after final CTC discussions ,candidates get rejectd.

I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.

Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.

JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?
