If a firm gives different bonus amounts for district court (ex: 50k) and circuit court (ex: 75k) clerkships is it common to receive both combined (ex: 125k) when you join? Or is it normal to receive some lesser amount?
What salary can I expect at a B4 org at D level + 20 Y with cloud certs and infosec certs (CEH, CISA, CISSP) ? Is $250K out of reach? A lot of co are reaching out to me at $125/hr.

General Bay Area housing question but looking to move my family up in early 2022 timeframe for my new job at Apple (Cupertino). Wife and I are early to mid-thirties and would have 2 kids by the time of the move (toddler and a newborn) along with our cat and dog. We currently have a 3 bdrm house in North County San Diego so would be looking for something of similar size (at least bedrooms wise). Any recs on where we should look for a rental with good school districts and good bang for our $$$?

An interviewing company hasn’t offered me the job yet but is asking me for my visa documents so their counsel can take a look. I assume they want to see how much time is left before extending offer. Has anyone been in this situation yet? I’m a bit wary of sending over personal legal documents when things are still up in the air

Considering a position at a known tech brand...how much stock options should I be asking for/how does it work?
How is the work and culture at AlixPartners?
Looking for input on a career decision. Me: 9 YOE, homegrown manager who is currently doing a stop in industry. I have an offer to return to consulting (M&A). My end game is pure strategy. Do I take the offer or wait for the opportunity to interview for pure strategy? My take is it’s more difficult to lateral the more senior you are in your career.
Currently have 2.5 yoe. Saw a role for ‘strategy analyst’ at my dream firm that says 1-2 years of experience minimum. Would this be a backwards move?
I am a 1-2 year lawyer in a large law firm (BigLaw non-US/UK) and feel like I am being under-utilised in my current team/firm. I think the team is too heavily staffed at the junior level which means I’m not getting enough experience for my level. It’s also saturated with competent mid level lawyers who seem to get all the good work before it trickles down. A position has opened at a competitor firm that I am considering applying for. Looking for peoples thoughts - is now the time to leave?
Do any other careers besides strategy consulting let you explore many industries, enabling you to gain a wide range of experience so that you can have a better idea of what you want to do in the future? I don’t particularly like consulting (at least in my current role) but gaining broad exposure is very important to me, and I can’t find any alternatives to consulting that provide similar breadth.
Considering a move to the bay area in industry from Texas after working 8 years at EY. Salary offered 150K in base, 200K in RSU and 60K annual bonus. Is that enough to live comfortably in Bay Area?
Looking for help around an informational interview. Interview is this week with a partner in energy project finance (renewable focus). This will be a career path change for me (currently in international tax), so looking for any insights from current practitioners. Obviously doing some background research on my own, but any info on interesting aspects of the work and/or talking points that would lead to a richer discussion about the work would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
After attending first day of in service I found out my principal couldn’t get me a classroom downstairs ( I have a knee disability) so had to resign , now district won’t pay me for in service.

B4 STAFF/SENIORS (Any service line) - What does your firm do to match you with work experiences/projects that align with your career interests/preferences (Or, do they do this at all?) I know this might've been asked before but given the current climate and post covid world, should I give more than two weeks notice? I don't want to leave my team hanging and I have a pretty good relationship with my project team...
