Non-accounting rant…Our lease is up at the end of April and we recently got our new lease contract. All of a sudden, the leasing company is requiring renter’s insurance. It’s apparently a new requirement for all new and current residents. It’s definitely a good thing to have, but isn’t there some sort of requirement for landlords to communicate big changes to leases in advance and not just stick it on the lease and hope everyone reads it? It seems kinda predatory and sneaky.
