Hey guys. I am a Graphics Engineer at AMD with 1 YOE in AR/VR work. My current role uses a typical Data Science skillset (SQL, visualizations, etc). I am considering jumping on over to Google for AR work, or maybe Coinbase for experience in DeFi. I think DeFi and VR may go hand in hand in the future, but I'm interested to hear your thoughts or doubts. Am I potentially muddying a VR career path by getting into the tech/finance space?

Does this happen to anyone else ?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Customer Success Managers!: I’m a well-educated service industry professional (BA and MA) trying to transition to CS. I’m having a hard time gaining traction and want to know if you have advice for landing entry level CS jobs. (Not resume advice, I’ve done my research.) I want to know more about getting my foot in the door and getting the necessary experience.
