Any agencies need a freelance AD?
Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

I can only answer the work life balance. It's quite good. Don't notice many people working longer than usual work hours unless something urgent happens that needs fixing, in that sense. The rest I don't know as I've only been working in the UK, but one member of my project team asked for permission to work a week from India (they had to travel there for family) and they were given permission. So I don't think it would be impossible. We're all still working from home and going to the office if we want
Thank you so much !!
The ‘work from home abroad’ rule’s a difficult one, because of both tax and client data security. I know that almost all H&PS clients in the UK have to have the work done in the UK - one manager was even advised to not take their laptop to India with him when they went for a month due to it being a data security breach.
Yea..work from home abroad.. I have places in Spain and Greece for work from home abroad..normally in summer i work from there for a month or so...Guess if I join Accenture I won't be able to..
