Not super helpful, but I wanted to say congratulations! I’m sure your passion and excitement will be clear to the interviewer 🤟
Chief
Aww, good luck, you’re gonna do great!
You sound super enthusiastic and like you will have a great attitude about the work. I think you’re well on your way to an offer!!
I had a similar background to you, I came from defense into Accenture TDP and it opened a lot of doors for me. In terms of prepping,
1) make sure you know what job family you’re interviewing for in TDP. The salary range is HUGE based on the family but at the analyst level everyone is kind of doing the same work. Try to interview for advance app/app engineering job family. Most people get placed in business & integration or tech arch.
2) really think about how your experiences translate to consulting. You have to generalize your experience in a way where you’re not using a lot of “defense jargon”. Think about it as putting what you’ve done in words in how you would share it to a 5 year old.
Best of luck - TDP sometimes gets a bad rap internally but it’s really a great way into a lot of diff fields coming from a non traditional background.
You will most definitely have to generalize. Definitely take some time to really think how you want to pitch a certain example and its impact. Feel free to send a DM if you have any other Qs. Best of luck!
Hey congratulations and wishing you all the best! Seems like you’re positive and energetic which are traits we look for. Wishing you all the best!
When I interviewed, I did some googling for “Accenture interview tips” and found tons of articles to read. It worked!
What role? And what division
I've completed 2 internships and about a year at NG, working on internal projects as my DoD comes through.
While the work was originally interesting, I wanted to transition to space but got hired onto defense instead. With that, the work isn't what I want to be doing, so I'm hoping to explore a multitude of different projects with Accenture, not just in one specific area.
Stay at NG. Get about 5 years experience in and jump for 50k more. If you join tdp, you will just join the long line of folks posting about how they get screwed in up mobility and compensation vs their CDP counterpart. You will be welcome into acn at the consultant level (L9)with 5 years experience h less you interviewed horribly. You will also make way more than home grown. NG is a good place to be hell you might even wanna stay there
Congrats! I have my first phone screen interview for the same position today! Checking in for any last minute tips, haha
