Sorry for the long rant, but could use advice or just encouragement.

Got laid off for the first time in my career 3 weeks ago. I have 10 years of PM experience (mostly ecommerce & experimentation). I was fortunate in the past to have had recruiters scout me directly so this is the first time in over a decade that I am applying to everything that I’m qualified for, mostly qualified for, and way over qualified for with zero leads. Only 3 interviews thus far that didn’t go forward.

I’m at PE ops but I’m interested in deal work. If recruiters reach out to me before my 1 year mark should I take them or wait it out? Worried about how it’ll look on my resume as a “job hopper” or if my current team will be upset

I recommended a candidate for hire to a manager that reports directly to me. This person is a perfect match, but wanted the manager to obviously recommend. It has to be a fit. The manager just told me my recommendation is not her top pick. I feel frustrated because as much as we talk about the position, I wonder if we are mot aligned on criteria. What do I do? Do I push more for the person I want or will I cause an issue with the hiring manager? How do I get her to see this person’s value?

Anyone care to share their biggest case interview mistakes? Anything you'd do differently knowing what you know now?

Does HR reference check multiple candidates after final interviews or should I expect an offer once my references check out?

Has anyone taken the online assessment to work at AWS. I was called by a recruiter and he sent me this assessment that needs to done within 7 days. What should I expect?

Does anybody know how to stop the recruiter emails? I am about to lose my mind. The sheer audacity of the recruiter who emailed me yesterday to ask me to return to the firm I left last year has sent me over the edge.

Anyone went for L1 blanket visa interview in India recently? Experience? Also, it seems L1 blanket is handled only in Chennai but consulate website says only Delhi is open and handling L1 as well not clear if that is only individual or blanket as well. Any insights? TIA

Hi I have a question. I have been in media for television and radio for 20 years. I am looking to pivot to tech and I have an interview next Friday with a recruiter. It is for an executive broadcast booker position at Meta. There is no salary listed for this position or no previous salary history on glassdoor. I did find a salary listing but for Colorado and the minimum is 217,000. If I am questioned about what am my salary expectations; if i said 28000 is that too much & will that scare them.

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

I appeared in L2 round of Capgemini recently.
Just after the intro first question they asked me " Do you have any offer and amount?" This question was asked in technical round.
I'm sure that guy wasn't a Manager.

I don't think he know how to take an interview.

Even after creating 2 asked program and answering 80% of their questions correctly.
Got rejected.
Didn't expect this kind of L2 round from Capgemini.

I had a final interview this week (6+ rounds/2+ month process). When do you expect a hiring decision?

I’m 37 and I didn’t get nominated for PCEC (mckinsey partner election). Should I give it another year knowing that it generally takes 2 election cycles and I won’t be a partner until I’m 39?
