Awesome to hear all the fireworks going off 💥 🧨
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Transfer to Hyatt gives the best redemption value
When I went to Oahu in 2019, I used Chase points to stay at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach for 12k pts/night
It’s a good rule to never use points on hotels unless it’s Hyatt. Airline partners are the best bang for your buck and you can get WAY more dollars for your points. 70k points is only a few nights in a hotel but can be 3 or 4 different flight trips.
Yeah I have really never transferred or used points from a regular CC. It’s always a Marriott or Southwest card I use.
That is great to know...
I guess another way to ask is what is the dollar value of 70,000 Chase points? I have heard that you should be getting $2k value out of 80,000 points.
You should aim for at least 2 cents per point
Only if you redeem for business/first class, can’t get 3 cents per point for economy flights
FWIW you’ll have very different experiences staying at a hotel (which would either be Waikiki or Ko Olina) vs staying at an airbnb. Ko Olina is pretty isolated and is just resorts/beaches, Waikiki is just super touristy. IMO the best approach is to get an Airbnb in Kakaako, Diamond Head, or Kaimuki for most of your trip and get another Airbnb on the north shore for 1-2 nights...you’ll get a much better view of the island and won’t be stuck in a crowded tourist trap!
I think hotel is fine for this trip. It’s a low budget quick 6-7 nights. The beach does look accessible right from the Hyatt.
