I feel like you are doing well considering your experience. A friend of mine (8+ YOE) got an offer of 55k with visa sponsorship from London last year.
Thank you for your reply. I just feel for London it should be at least 65k, especially since i am in fintech. You know how crazy the rent is here, and i am not living in central.
Idk how in the US i hear a lot of people staring around 90k 😅 even though living in USA could be cheaper than here.
60k as a .net backend Dev for 5 years in London is about the average salary not including perks or seniority. Assuming then your mid level and covering increased London living costs 60k is about right.
The game isn’t about years of experience but about interview skills! I have five years of experience and work as a backend engineer but on different stack. 90k base salary.
Mind if I ask what your stack and key skills are?
Not .net related but salary all depends on what company you are applying to. Yes there are alot of 50-70k salary for .NET with 4+ years experence. But if you look hard enough there will be couple roles out there in London with 80k+
