Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.
Any news on mid year hike for coming jan ??

It is your choice where you have to join. Just inform PwC as early as possible and explicitly mention about how they want the IT assets to be returned. They might take some nominal charges for courier. Not sure about it though
Oh, I know, this must be so hard. Oh, no, two organisations love me. They are both gorgeous and sexy. My wallet is too small for my fifties, and my diamond shoes are too tight!
Schneider Electric is anytime better than PwC kolkata
As for now, AC kolkata's hybrid model is applicable only for a few teams. Not all. Depends on which team you join. Again half baked information. 🙂
Dude , update us on your decision
I am still confused... We have 2 weeks time still
I as of now it's 90% SE dude... Will update u once i confirm

Inform them that you won't be joining them and if laptop not dispatched yet then please stop the delivery.
They will try to match you offer you have then you can decide accordingly.
If you are looking for good wlb then don't join PwC.
Unless you join the orientation on the very first day and fill and send out all the forms, you are good to leave without informing as well. They will mark you absent on the first day ,and when they call. You can let them know.
If you want to be polite, you can email them now as well
Thanks for all ur support and inputs here guys... I have opted to join SE
I know PwC employees who got extremely frustrated with the WLB. They used to work even weekends regularly. Leaves are usually frowned upon or even if you do take a leave, even then the manager would expect you to fulfill certain deliverables on your off day. All projects may not be that way but the popular culture is.
Yes you are true even I faced this issue and when the topic arises regarding any discussion related to appraisal they will i didn't asked you to work on leave days blah blah blah

You can say No, choose what is best for you and convey them the same!
What's your current CTC? How much did you ask with Schneider?
Tell them that you're being retained if you really don't want to join PWC, if money is the issue, you can ask to renegotiate the offer with the highest offer you hold.

Go for SE… 7 lac ka difference hi hai + you will have time to enjoy that ctc..
otherwise big4 will drain you out completely and you will realise later that you had an offer of 25+2…
Join Schneider and inform PwC that you will not join as you got a way better offer
Dnt join pwc !! Run as far as you can
Go for Scheineder. It is way better in wlb than PwC. Big 4s make you work like an ass and there you need to consider your client as God
You should be transparent with both the parties. HR's are human, they will respect you being upfront. Ask if they can match the higher salary, if not then respectfully decline. It's better than vanishing on the day of joining!!
YOE and Techstack?
You're getting very less pay compared to other Data Engineers
Just drop an email...
