I’m about to start an internship at IBM for UX Research. I’m super excited about it, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the design culture there or how the company is for designers? So far online I’ve only heard about the company from consultants or software engineers. For more reference I’ll be working in Austin.

Congratulations, its definitely a great achievement reaching 1cr in India.
My questions are
1. Are you from tier 1 college?
2. What is the total strength of your current company ( I suppose it's a startup as you are a founding member?)
Thanks mate 🙏
1. I am from Pes University.. so definitely not tier 1 but quite close.
2. Strength is about 100 for engg team .. it’s old startup.. but QA team is being built from scratch.. I am their 3rd QA hire
Congrats mate,
What skills you obtained on Automation, how many companies you switched.
Congratulations on this milestone.
My questions:
What are the skills relevant today for a sdet? Something that is non negotiable and we should be aware of?
Thanks Mate 🙏
The important skills for sdet are to keep themselves relavant to the market and switching job if growth stops . As SDET don’t be someone who just creates automation scripts but become a person who enables others to write . Solve problem which no one asked you to solve but you feel is good for organisation , operate at 1 level above your actual level
Congratulation..Can you guide whats skillsets that helip you to reach at this milestone...
Core stack that made the difference: Playwright, Cypress, API testing (Postman/SuperTest), K6 for performance, and CI/CD basics on GitLab. Domain depth in fintech helped a lot too. Pick one and go deep rather than spreading thin.
Is it a startup company ?
Yes
Congratulations!!!very inspiring
Thanks mate 🙏
Congratulations 🎉
Thanks Mate 🙏
wow this is actually a huge achievement
Thanks, it took time and a lot of deliberate upskilling. Consistency is the only real secret!
Congratulations!
I want to know how did you manage 3 months notice period because as of today most of the companies ask for immediate joiner?
Not all companies have 3 months notice period.
My company has only 1 month notice period in India and 2 weeks in US
Congratulations man
Sarcastic?
End 2 end tech stack.. how you found or got the founding sdet role.. founding sdet alligs to manager role or testing role
Can you share the company details and skill set also ? For references
Can’t reveal the company.. but skills are that of automation platform developer
Hi Author, Can you reveal the name of your previous company?
Hey , sorry I can’t
And what's your location
Can you share how you land at interviews in your current and previous company? What approach did you follow to get interviews - do you reach out to HRs by anyway or they themselves reached out to you?
Hii author, what are your tech stack??
Heyy.. it’s mainly around automation platform development.. using typescript, nest js , pytest, gitlab cicd , playwright , detox .. but frankly it keeps on changing
I am also trying for a QA profile for the last 3 months. I have 3.5 years of experience as a QA but still have not found a job. Any guidance would be appreciated.
At 3.5 years, manual-only profile is the bottleneck. Add Playwright + API testing basics — even 4-6 weeks of hands-on practice changes your resume tier significantly. Also audit your resume for ATS keywords.
Fantastic👏
Keep learning, Keep growing
Thanks Mate 🙏
I need job
Start with what you have — BDE experience maps well to presales, customer success, or SaaS sales roles. Update LinkedIn with keywords like “B2B SaaS”, “outbound sales”, “CRM”. Apply on Naukri + LinkedIn daily. Keep at it.
Hi, I have 12 years of experience in Quality Assurance at present iam in job search, please can you help me out to get a job in Mumbai
12 years is strong — the market in Mumbai for senior QA is decent, especially BFSI. Make sure your resume highlights automation exposure even if limited, and target companies like TCS, Persistent, Mphasis, or product startups in BKC/Powai. DM me your profile, happy to give specific feedback.
