Hi all,

I'm an audit associate (2YOE) with mid tier firm in Tampa Bay, FL and looking for a move to industry but have no luck getting an interview for entry level or junior accountant role. I have passed 1 part of CPA and will take another section in May. I'm no longer enjoying the grind in public accounting where I am constantly a passing ball and not fully see the whole accounting processes and now would love to pivoting into a corporate accountant or internal audit in industry (continue)

I've been exploring Power BI and think it's very interesting and also learning macro to learn how to improve/automate processes (with public data, not client related). Please give advice on how I should start to improve my skillsets/resume to break into industry? Thank you

So I have a felony. I interviewed with a recruiter today who was super cheerful and nice. Once I disclosed my felony, which she already knew about since a friend referred me to her, she immediately stopped the interview and said she couldn’t in good faith move forward on my application given the nature of my offense. I explained that I had done my time, paid my fines and restitution and had the experience to become a great asset to the organization. -she suggested I look into bartending.

Covid has been hard. March 2029- December 2020 I drank a lot to cope without realizing it. January- March I didn't realize I was depressed. March I came to terms with increase and ongoing suicidal ideation and needed help.

I went into a intensive outpatient program (IOP) which has been super helpful.

During the beginning of covid I drank every day and in a great deal. January it was a "dry" month which was hard the first week but overall great.

March 2021 realized I'm clinically depressed.
