Hi all! Im new to Fishbowl and am looking for some career advice. I finished my MBA this past Spring and I have an undergrad in Advertising and Retail that I completed in 2020. I submitted around 200 applications through all of the job boards and I had only had a handful of interviews. Is there something on my resume that I could fix to increase my number of interviews? Also is there any golden question or answer that I should use in said interview? Thank you in advance for all of the advice!

Hello All! I m currently working in Amazon as transportation specialist for past 3 years. I have cleared CA-IPCC in 2014 and internship in 2017 but i never wrote CA-Final. I interviewed at Amazon for a PM role in Dec. 2020 and was ultimely rejected. I was told I have to wait a year to reapply. Fast forward to June 2022, another recruiter reaches out to me re: a PM role. I pass the screening interview, and move on to the virtual on site interview stage. I randomly get a call from the recruiter telling me there is now a TWO YEAR reapply policy in place so I'm not eligible to interview for any PM roles until Dec. 2022. Anyone ever heard of this policy? Seems strange

My younger brother has the opportunity to do Software Engineering at FAANG and consulting at MBB as a fresh grad. I told him to do SWE, but I’m afraid I’m giving him biased advise cause I’m jaded in this industry. If you were me, what would you advise him?

So far there has been an online assessment, round 1of interview with assistant manager, round 2 of interview with the Manager.

Are there gonna be more rounds of interview..? If not, what is expected timeline they take to make the final decision..?

Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?

I just got laid off from my job as a gov contractor because the project I was working on ended. I’m currently a grad student part time and was hoping to work that job until finishing grad school before applying to consulting roles. Should I go ahead and try applying for those roles now since I don’t have a job? Or should I wait since I’m still in school until next May?
