With the cost of living right now (which is only going up), I wouldn't recommend taking a pay cut significant enough to where it would impact your ability to cover your bare minimum expenses.
My advice would be to keep your current job until you secure another that pays more.
I have worked in construction over 15 years. I think it will be hard to find a construction company that offers remote work. You may find a few that do hybrid. I agree you don't want to take a pay cut, not only because of economics but sometimes it is hard to get back up to where you should be. I wish you the best in your search.
