Hi All, what’s a fair comp for an FP&A manager with 9 YOE, MBA and ACCA in Canada?

What has better WLB and comp, being a heme onc physician or climbing the ranks of D/SD/VP in R&D or commercial strategy for an oncology line? Not taking into account initial path to get to these positions.

Can anyone tell me what would be the CTC or can someone demand if he has knowledge of ABAP, ODATA and UI5 ( for ui5 only practices, not real project experience)

What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. I am a senior making 105 base with 6% bonus and about 15k RSUs but I see seniors in other analysis based orgs such as go to market, sales ops, corp dev making 150k base salary + benefits. Is there a reason why and what skill sets would people need to be competitive?

I work in FP&A consolidations at a large sell side bank. I moved internally after working in the planning group of a Working Capital Solutions business. I often feel like I would enjoy client facing or advisory work because it would help me build a skill that could translate to me potentially running my own advisory firm one day… I feel my role just looks at numbers on a page which doesn’t help me develop translatable subject matter skills or expertise. I don’t want to be a robot. Any advice?

hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
