One more pathetic interview experience. This time it is @wissen . They took my written test, i cleared all the 3 tech interviews, HR round done, CTO round done. Now during the offer release they told MD is not approving due to mixed feedback of the initial rounds now one more tech round u need to give, i said okay, that guy only asked me 1 question and completed the interview. Saying knowledge gap. Now Offer they are not releasing . Thanks for wasting everyone's time . Wissen Technology

Don't expect to crack the 1st interview itself. Even I had failed miserably. What I'd suggest is, in whatever technology you're working or want to work, create profiles in job portals listing those technology and keep blindly applying in all the companies you find there. Initially you'll be getting less/no calls. In the initial calls/interview, prepare a list of questions those you were unable to answer. Do some research and keep getting answers till the point those questions start repeating itself in the future calls.
Once this happens you'll gain some confidence and have also learned from your mistakes. Now 1st company that accepts you even with a 3 month notice period will come to your rescue. Grab that offer and drop the papers.
Don't relax now and stop applying. I did that and wasted 1 month of notice period. Instead update everywhere that you're serving notice and you'll start getting more calls. And as you're serving, instead of working for the company work on yourself (for future interviews).
By following the above steps you'll have atleast 2 offers in the worst case. Now the ball is in your court. Always ask for a cross/counter offer in the next interview (when asked). And don't lower your expected ctc based on your current CTC. Hiring is on peak and 100-150% hike is the new normal for service companies as well. Try to get the max even when asking for cross offer.
FYI - I had failed in 30+ interviews. It feels demotivating and disheartening but don't stop. Learn from it.
Tip: don't straight away ask for 100% hike during the screening calls. It's better you ask the recruiter what's the company standards and mention around that number. Once you clear the TR, then give a valid reason for why you deserve a better salary.
Hope this helps!
Don't give up. Analyse what went wrong in each failed interviews and improve your weak areas. Stick to one technology where you feel confident and strong..Do some certification related to your tech. Ask for feedback after interviews.. One day you will win..
I have known few people who have cracked interviews after 20+ attempts.. So don't give up..
If you have given your domain, then would have given more personalized suggestions..
Anyways all the best!
Looking for ServiceNow developer opportunity, though I have not worked on that.
Questions are generally repetitive in all the interviews for a particular technology. So just attend interviews and study the questions and concepts that you couldn’t answer. Don’t dwell or overthink that you could not crack them. After attending a few you will get the hang of it .You will eventually crack many interviews.
P.S: If there are companies you want to work for, try to attend their interviews at last once you are confident enough.
