She however recommended me for the permanent opportunity to higher management. The acting manager came in, permanent role was posted, I applied, interviewed……manager told me they chose someone else external for the role. Hi all, was hoping for clarity on offers from FANG/Tier 2 tech I received recently. Base pay is still within range of 130-150K, but equity components have dropped dramatically. For reference, for similar positions, I was receiving grants of 150K - 200K over 4 years for data analyst positions (4-5 YOE) in Aug’21-Feb’22. For personal reasons, I did not accept these offers. Now the equity grants are coming in like 50-70K over 4 years. Is this market wide for non SWE/PM roles due to stock market?

I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. Role 1.
-95k base, no bonus, better benefits.
-Booz Allen Hamilton
-Senior Consultant.
-Similar position to now, better progression.

Role 2.
-95k base, 16% bonus, good benefits.
-National grocery chain.
-Slightly different role: more admin / training others / governance / custom coding connectors, etc.

Tech companies who have gone remote since the pandemic: do you get a stipend for home internet or a mobile hot spot for when your home internet goes out? Some of my employees are having issues that directly impact their ability to join customer calls, but my company’s IT department doesn’t offer any support. Wondering if that’s still the norm.
