I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Is there a seperate request to be raised for surrender of laptop and how to cancel the existing request for pickup. Please guide.Tata Consultancy

Unfortuantely my company does it by seniority so I end up working most of the holidays. You would think they would do it in some sort of rotation but they don't. So the seniored people end up getting all of the holidays off. But at one point in time they had to work every holiday so I do get it.

Awww see idk that is also not fair ! I like a rotation !

I find this to be very frustrating!
I have work the last 11 Easter’s & 31 Christmas days.
We have people that put their requests in on Jan. 2nd for the year. The rest are screwed.

What ! That’s incredibly not fair !!! Omy
It's first come first serve and that seems best IMO. Rotational means I miss a holiday that may be the only important one of them all to me just because policy says rotate. If I'm willing to work all the others if that's helpful I shouldn't have tow work my one chosen holiday off of in being proactive in claiming it off. Having it first claimed helps keep each person accountable. If you didn't do it in a timely manner than you can't be mad you're working Christmas again.
