Looking for some advice. I am about to start a new role as a clinical study coordinator in a hospital setting. I have about 1 year of experience as a clinical research coordinator in an academic setting but 0 experience in a hospital setting. I know this is going to be a huge learning curve for me.

For those of you who have worked in a hospital setting, coordinating multiple studies at once, what advice would you give a newbie? What can I do to prepare myself for this new role?

I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.
