I once asked a colleague at a radio company how much he's paid monthly, and he outright refused to tell me. In fact, he found it very odd that I asked. I later learned that he was making double my salary. I know it's not an employee's job to fix pay inequity by sharing their salary figures, but I'm still of the opinion that it helps uncover pay gaps. The posted salary range was $48-58k and I was offered $53k, which I think is fine, but I’ll be moving to the LA metro area and I’m a little concerned about the cost of living.
