Question, if you pay off your house isn’t a 100k salary more than enough to sustain a good lifestyle? My goal has always been to payoff my mortgage then find a really easy analyst role to sustain my expenses. Assuming I’m a director/VP by the time my mortgage is paid off I’d probably be able to do an analyst 40hr week in like 10hrs. Esp at some of these low expectation companies. 7 year lawyer here. Been with the same big national firm all 7 years (not BigLaw) doing complex litigation. Been working remote a long time due to moving around for wife’s job. I joined TCS as a lateral (yoe=16) about 2.5 months back. I have been allocated to a project code, but there is no work yet. I have been asked to submit timesheet as Non-billable. Just doing some learnings as of now as manager says they are yet to convince client for Onboarding.Since it's not bench code I don't get any calls from resource management group also
1) Will it effect my confirmation which is bound to happen in 3 months of joining?
2) Will it impact my performance ratings etc? .
