Considering recent news about CS layoff employees is it a good decision to join CS? I have been selected for the position of Global Sanctions Handling ENO. Currently working with Citi and Total Years of experience is 8.2 years. Current CTC in Citi is 6.3 and CS offered 13.3 LPA and How many days to receive offer letter?

Do New Business roles pay higher than traditional account roles?

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

PSA - We are headed into a self-imposed economic slow down. Now is not the time to lateral but if you do, I would make sure you are at a recession-proof practice or firm. The top law firms will be okay (they always are) but if you are part of a larger group of associates with no work, you are likely to be axed. Latham did it in the 2008 and 2011 and it will happen again. If you are an associate or really anyone but a rainmaker, you are expendable.
