We always keep hearing about the bad WLB in MBB, especially BCG. Want to know if it's actually true, or is it an untrue rumor spread by people who couldn't get into these companies.

(Note - I am talking about incremental WLB issues, over and above the issues at Deloitte S&O, Accenture Strategy, etc. as these issues are common in management consulting)

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I’v been in digital marketing for almost 5 years. Husband and I have been TTC for almost a year. His semen analysis came back all normal with the exception of morphology at 1% (Kruger Strict criteria). I work at a mid tier firm in an audit group of ~20 people. We’ve recently had two seniors and a manager leave, and I just found out another senior with a ton of big jobs is leaving in three weeks. I also just found out I’m being promoted to senior with a raise of 10%. In light of all these departures though, I kind of want to ask for more.... should I? And what % raise is appropriate? Since EY Law does not provide evidence of filling for H1b, how sure can one be that the company really filed for them? With the high rate of H1b denials, I doubt EY Law really filed for everyone.
