I just wanted to ask how much gap between two jobs are considered fine. Recently I had just 1 month gap while I was actively getting interviewed, some HR use to tell that currently you are nt working so it is a negative thing on your profile..
How to deal with this thing

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

If a firm posts an opening on their website, is there any benefit to using a recruiter other than resume review and interview prep?

Does anyone have a similar experience? I interviewed with recruiters from two of "Big 4". Both interviews went well, and I was told the recruiters will submit my resume to the partners and senior managers for the next interviews. 3 weeks later, I received the rejection letters without the next interview. I wonder why the partners even not bothered to interview me. If it matters, I am a CPA with 3 years non-PA experience and applied for experienced associate positions. I appreciate any insights.

Hi all, my aim is to join one of the faang companies after two years. I want to dedicate these two years to attain whatever knowledge ia required. My skillset is currently java, springboot thats all. What i need to prepare to get into one of these top companies. Can someone elaborate the required skillset and how many interviews and what kind of interviews and so on.

HR is scheduling the interviews without checking time with me. One interview was scheduled and then it was rescheduled to a different time at last minute. I wasn't available at that time so I mailed the HR for a different slot. They again scheduled it for a later date without checking the time with me.

Hi fishes, I am a backend developer , my current CTC is 18 LPA. I am looking for new opportunities , I have 2 offers one was 24 fixed and then i waited for sometime and got 34 LPA (32 fixed). Should I wait more and look for more opportunities or should I join. I don't know how much compensation should I get at 3.2 yoe. Plz suggest.

After my HR round today, Hr called up and said that will move forward with the offer but approvals with higher management might take some time as there is a hiring freeze.
Do you think offer will be released? And how much time these approvals take ?

She mentioned at the end that they are definitely going to offer as all feedbacks are positive.
But it all depends on the approvals.
