Do you think there are meaningful benefits to making such shift? I am also worried about the downside, could moving to the product side make it harder to transition back into pure legal? To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

Only worried about that if I continue here, in process of learning ruby I might have to unlearn java. If I need to come out then openings on Automation with ruby in the market is pretty much less I think..

Hi Fishes, I'm in a huge dilemma now. Im currently working with TCS and my CCTC is 10.29 LPA and I hold 2 offers, one with with Bank of America for 17.5 LPA Fixed and with CTS for 19 LPA.
My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.

I’m doing my first UX portfolio on Wix. I have the case studies content drafted out, but I’m struggling with brainstorming wireframes/actual UI for my case studies. I make it a rule to look for dribbble/behance for inspo but only sketch when im not looking at things because I don’t want to copy directly.

Hello, hoping for some input on how to time a job change. At a startup - we are doing well now but unless we have complete turnover in management I don’t think we have a bright future post-COVID. I could coast here 1-2 years before having to look. I’ve been here for a little under a year. This is my second in house job after 10 years at the same firm. The market is hot now, probably won’t be in 1-2 years and I am getting interest for good roles. OTOH I don’t want to look like a job hopper.

In house interview- I am going to hopefully the final round of interview to meet the whole legal team. I was asked about my availability, and it will take 5 hours if in one day. Should I split to multiple days? Will it cause any issues? Anyone on both sides can speak from their experience? Thanks!

Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours?
