I’m actively job searching but not receiving ideal hits. I see a lot of senior level L&D roles but not as many for specialist roles, specifically in tech. I have 5.5 years of experience. Considering leaving to take a partner position at a small firm. Is it worth it? Would only be 2 partners with a staff of 10. Comp would be 250k on the low end and probably top out around 350k. Would take 3-4 years to get to this level of comp as would be buying 10% per year up to 40% of the firm. Am I stupid for not taking this? Currently manager making 125k. Comp first year as junior partner would be 120k with 10% ownership.

I currently have a Master of Arts in Public Administration and am trying to break out of the realm of government and law enforcement.. that being said, I have been pondering the idea of getting certified in Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and sustainable business. Would this be worth the investment or should I leave that to people with a heavy finance background? Just want to be more marketable since my main background is in law enforcement data analysis.

Is HNW tax a trap? It's my strongest skillset (including the soft-skills aspect of dealing with those clients) and I got appoached for a job that focuses more on HNW, but I don't know if it's a good idea to focus in on that direction at my career stage. (I think I'll follow up on the approach anyway because it's not 100% HNW.)

Has anyone quit without backup offer? Did you regret doing so?

How did you transfer to IFS? I applied to a few positions in Workday and got denied. The feedback was they found some who had done the job before or was closer to the business. Feeling discouraged :(

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD.
