I’ve been offered senior associate position at PwC within the Sustainability & Climate Change Practice. I have 3.5 years of experience and I’m currently on 45k. PWC offered 46k, I asked for higher they’ve come back with 48k. Should I ask for higher/how do I approach this? I don’t think 48k covers inflation but unsure if I’m asking too much
Thought on BBC NYC?
Marriott laid off 80% of their corporate staff after Covid. I lost my job of 10. Years due to Covid in the hospitality sector.
I'm IT too. When youre furloughed for 8 months you might as well be laid off
Both industries look like they will get affected by recession...again I dropped offers and sat current company due to being in visa ...so it's risk vs reward...u need to decide
During recession which of these are expected to be affected worse?
I think GM1 is making a good suggestion. Unless you KNOW that the position will disappear with a recession, choosing not to take the higher salary is just limiting your own ability to save money. And if they both feel like they would be jobs you would flourish in then yeah, I would go for the bigger salary and save the difference in pay as a "just in case" fund.
I recently joined Capgemini. Didn't liked the work culture. Whats your offer for both companies and location ?
This one is remote for me with occasional travel
Also, depends on where you want to grow? Do you want to continue in tech ? or get up the ladder? I made a switch from Tech to Prog Management, it has its own pros and cons. Just curious to know whats your total exp and the location for these offers? They both are great offers if you ask me!
I have almost 18 year of work ex and both of these offers are remote to me
