Hi guys needs second opinion pls
Does it look too desperate to email after a good interview a day after ?

Interview was yesterday morning it’s now 5pm day after.

I had a good interview yesterday and vibes seemed great but I just wished I could explain why and how I wish to work within global company - I fear that I may have not been able to articulate myself strongly on this part.

Not desperate at all, I think it's totally fair to send a follow-up. I’ve done that before to clarify or add a quick thought I forgot to say. Just keep it brief and sincere. If the vibes were good, this kind of follow-up can actually show thoughtfulness, not neediness.

I don't think there's anything wrong with sending a simple thank you. I'd probably hold off on trying to express everything you've written until the next interview. I think it's much easier to convey that enthusiasm in person vs. email.

Follow up with a thank you for the interview and you are excited about the potential opportunity or something like that. Would consider not getting too lengthy in it as that might not come off great, but nothing wrong with expressing interest and thanking them for their time!

I don’t think there is anything wrong with that and honestly, I have done it myself. If anything I think it shows that you are very interested in the role and are a go-getter. If you want to reach out then I say go for it. You can always start it off by thanking them for their time and the opportunity to interview for the role. Best of luck to you.

Hi All,
I had my 1st round of interview with Executive Director and 2 leads for Technical role. I have 2 queries-
1. How many rounds should i expect in total considering I clear everything? (I think my first round itself has technical + manger/director)
2. How long (time) will it take to get an offer?
TIA :)

Had my 2nd interview with the hiring manager this past Friday & sent a thank you shortly after. It's now Tuesday (for those who see this on another day). At the end of the interview he said they've had other people who were interested but only one other person besides me were they considering. Said he would talk to his team and possibly have me fly out to meet in person. How long should I wait to follow up without seeming pushy? Also welcome any other tips to separate me from other candidate.

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I've been searching for a new job because I know I am underpaid. I have 12+ years of experience in the event industry and seven years in the Event Tech world. I interviewed with Netflix, Amazon, and Microsoft. I went through all the stages, but I was not selected. Any advice? I think I did great in all my interviews; my resume is solid, and I have four university degrees including a Master’s. I speak English and Spanish. Any advice of what my problem might be?

I’ve been interviewing for new positions to leave PA. But in my current position, we’ve been adding quite a few new projects (and our team is partner, two staff, and me) that will probably start over the next couple of months. I don’t think my boss has any idea I’m looking to leave - anything I should do to not feel guilty about potentially leaving them short staffed with a ton of work? Is this something you think about when looking to leave?

The talent acquisition team did not send me an offer letter instead have sent me a BGC form which I submitted yesterday. Can anyone tell me if they faced this situation?TIA

Can I use referals to apply before 6 months? Or should I wait for 6 more months?

Thanks for your help.

Career advice?

I'm a relatively junior data engineer (2yoe), the only other engineer (senior) that trained me left about a 6 months ago and I negotiated a nice raise for the extra responsibilities.

My performance reviews have been stellar, but my manager is starting to look to hire a senior to help me deliver projects as we do lack capacity right now.

I feel like I might be missing an opportunity to ask for a promotion and hire a junior instead.
