I am a CoS for a CVP at Microsoft, and my base is 225k + up to 20-40% cash and 200-200k stock annually.
Similar role, 170 plus 40k bonus with a nice equity package
I still think you’re being underpaid
How big is the company? What’s the fund size of the sponsor? What experience did you have before the CoS roles? What do you do now in your role (more of an executive assistant or more like an executive)?
I think you may be underpaid, by a lot. But this depends on what you did before these jobs and what your current role entails.
Thanks! Really appreciate your thoughts. I should clarify that we are a company owned by a bigger company that is directly PE owned. The company I am a part of is roughly $50mm in annual revenue so it’s fairly small. My role is a high level executive position. Most of the big decisions in the company flow through me and from me directly.
I have 160 and equity at a tiny funded pre revenue company and also I am title in a way I like (VP operations even tho I’m a COS). Looks like you got it fixed with your 160+30 which seems closer to accurate for a PE backed company your size.
Another 15% raise from there and then step to COO at 275
