Hi, it may sound very typical for this bowl, I really want to get into PE/VC industry. But considering JDs I’ve seen- my profile may not even go through 1st step (btw I’m 35 yrs old). Profile - MBA-fin T-1 Ind B-School, 2 yrs S&Ops consultant in boutique firm (implementation exp- India-abroad), 1.5 yrs CEO’s office (strategy-Pharma), 2 yrs Supply chain planning (Pharma). I’ve abt 4 diffrnt industry exp. I tried the startup way but there also not getting calls. Should I focus on CFA!!Suggestion

SAP program management background, certified in MM module but it’s been years. Is it worth to stay in SAP or I should just pursue PGM position in industry, SAP or not?

I’m on the consulting side (FDD) and I’m curious if there are PE firms with good WLB. I’m happy with my pay, growth, and hours. PE interests me but I don’t understand why anyone would want to consistently work 65+ hours a week every week. What’s the appeal? Making double the pay? What’s the exit plan?

Graduated in 2020, wanted to be a graphic designer, took a job at a startup in a social media role. The boss called me the "r" word for not handling entire 13-ish accounts roster well by myself. I’m in my 4th year at a small plaintiffs’ firm. Past two years I’ve received meager raises (5k) and terrible bonuses (3k). My boss prides himself on allowing me to gain experience so I have more courtroom experience than most attorneys with twice the experience. As I’ve applied for other firms, I’ve been denied interviews based on how my boss is perceived in the community. How common are career changes / pivots? Can’t help but feel behind now that I’m considering a change and makes me feel alone. Not sure how to go about making the change (finance to marketing)

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad.
