Hi need to know something urgently , i got an offer from pwc india , with 8.5 lpa fixed of which 5.5 lpa is part of inhand and 3 lpa is part of nps and reimbursable flexible benefits) will this 3 lpa be part of my in hand , because i asked someone from the company they said youcan only claim this amount through , how tf am i supposed to claim 3 lakh rupees per year , only for petrol and internet bills ?! I think the HR is undercutting me . Please help , urgently. Thanks !

I’m an SE who works 2 AE’s, and from looking at the market am on the bottom end of the pay scale. The company I work for has many different products/services (80+), so they wanted SEs to take on a local “SME” role in a specific area, to support other members of the team.

This role has ramped up quite a bit recently, and people have been coming to me for help with their deals (overviews, demos, POCs) which is increasing my workload.

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing.
