Okay here's a trick nobody is going to tell you
Whenever companies tell you this just check the terms in your employment contract
In most cases company is supposed to pay your 2-3 months salary if they fire you
And they wouldn't have to do so if you resign, people usually get scared that if they get fired and don't resign it's gonna be a bad career mark, trust me it is not the case
Just ask them to pay you for firing or you just keep continuing and search for job
Either way you should keep searching for new job now
So if they fire you and you find a job sooner you can have something to cover you for few months otherwise just keep searching the job and stay there you don't have to worry about anything
Please be careful HRs and managers will play mind games and trick you into putting down your papers, record every conversation on email
And do not resign unless you have an offer already

So that you can have option to fight out legally.
But bureaucracy and judiciary will test your patience and mental health.
If you are less than 10 years, then you can try to get high severance pay and into job market to hunt down the positions.

I thought product companies only firing people, but looks like software people also getting fired.
Why are they firing?
Worked 4 months on internal project (mobile dev). Then up-skilled to React.js for projects. Staffing manager/partner never replied to any dm/email since last 7 weeks when I was craving for a project with my new skills.
Now I'm out, they stated "they don't have project relevant to my skills for another 6 months". The new skills I learnt weren't even considered. Never got a reply from Staffing. Never got allocated to any project.
P.s. My complete team from Mobile Dev (along with the our mentor) are "open for work" now.
