Anyone out there have advice on finding the right position for you? A job can sound one way on paper, but you don’t know what the worst day in that role will feel like. Additionally, how would you go about finding more hidden/obscure titles that could possibly be the best match?

I'm trying to choose between IBM Corporate Strategy and Innosight. I like both opportunities. Innosight pays more, but I've never had a big brand like IBM on my resume. I didn’t get a CS degree. I studied applied math and geospatial and have fallen into software engineering. I now have 4+ years experience with it (writing clean production code with this geospatial speciality if I need it as well). When I inform this to my manager he is saying how come u say like this to client.according to kpmg policy u need to travel to anywhere to work.
This is not good right. What should be my reply to the client in such a case and how to handle manager on this?
