In six years (college grad) went from $63K to $163K. Not the best but not terrible either.
In 4 years from $200K (exactly $194k) to $500 this year!
Is that TC? What is your base.
Mind sharing what the increments were in the run up to 500k.

4 years ago I made ~$85k total comp. Now I'm at ~$245
Was at 58k in 2017 and now at $145k base.
Nope, made two jumps, now at a firm that I’ll stay at for a while.

Mine went up $50k this year
After my first 4 years in consulting (as a post-b-school hire) I went from $170k to $380k (was promoted twice at an MBB and was in a good performance bucket in yr 4)
In the next 4 years went from $380 to just over a million as a newly elected partner.
This is a pretty standard if things go well, but the lifestyle sucks + working for dumb clients gets old after a while. Left not long after making partner for those reasons.

Serious question - what makes a client dumb? My senior leaders hire MBB often but we rarely leverage the insights into action..

Not accounting for big promotions, best way to do this is changing jobs. Moved from 138k to 200k in during the pandemic (boomerang from my original firm).

Was at 147k in Nov 2019, at 205k now. Didn’t change jobs. Acquisition, promotion, 2 raises. 58k in 2 years, and obviously >60k in 4.

$60k in 2018/19, went to business school, now make $160k (not including bonuses) and getting a market increase in December
