Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

It’s not your responsibility to run the department on your own even if you knew how to. Until you are promoted and have a title/job description to fit the role it is not your responsibility. We tend to burn ourselves out taking on more than we should. Some companies reward you for going the extra mile others milk you so always play chess not checkers. Go up the chain of command to speak with someone about the rest of your training and getting the acclimated with the company.
THANK YOU! ALL OF THIS! I hear this from so many admins. And I have a problem with Admins who put a smile on their face and act like it's not a problem. It is.
Managers need more intense training to be better managers, especially now. Many managers have no idea what to ask of from an Admin so the situation becomes worse because the "need it right now attitude or non clear tasks" is not efficient or effective. Things done well takes time and patience.
We had a 30-60-90 plan that went out of the window when she abruptly notified me now I’m in a situation where I don’t have all the tools to maintain the department on my own. None of this would be a problem if I had previous experience or even someone else to train me. I don’t want to give up but I’m not quite sure how to move forward
I would ask her to advice the next best person within the team for you to seek guidance especially within the first 90 days. Express that you are serious, eager to learn and ready to jump into action. You need the right tools, onboarding buddy and guidance to fill the big gap now. All the best!
