Anyone willing to do a campus referral? I'm interested in joining management consulting but come from a non target in NYC.
I was let go during the pandemic and I 100% believe it was because I had kids and could not work around the clock. I’m enjoying freelance and was recently offered a full time remote position. I’m just wondering if anyone has been through this and has any thoughts about going back FT v freelance. I can’t be sure that my freelance work will hold and FT has its benefits. Would welcome any thoughts or kind words.
Finally made it out of consulting. Exit offer for google as a PgM, $150K base, $240K TC first year. Took me a year to land the offer.
Hi! Everyone, I am a PhD turned consultant with 2 years at big 4. I was wondering if there are openings at MBB that I can apply to? I am a molecular biologist by training and do life sciences consulting in the cell and gene therapy domain.
This isn’t a ghosted story, but I think you guys might appreciate. Couple of months ago, I got a rejection letter for a position I never applied to. Like, I wasn’t even in the market for a new job...
Has anyone interviewed at Salesforce for a business architect role in the customer success group? What are the technical interviews like?
hi I am having 2.5 year's of experience in digital marketing do anyone have any opening for digital marketing social media marketing please let me know
How would you go about telling a company you don’t want to do anymore interviews? I was originally told probably two or three, then “one last one”, and now “potentially two more”. In each interview, they talk like I have the role and keep asking how much notice I would need to give as if they’re in a rush to get me in, but then schedule another round of interviews. Honestly the interviews seem more like meet and greets. Cont.
Im currently a senior associate at RSM getting promoted to supervisor (role between senior and manager). I have offers with big 4 to be in accounting advisory, but it would be as a senior with no pay bump. Would it be worth it for the exit opps? I eventually want to leave public as a manager
Hi everyone! I have two offers (both just verbal so I don’t have total comp exactly yet), very different. I work in a specific vertical, and one is a product leader for a very cool and visionary start up in my space, and the other is a really interesting role for a venture firm specific to my industry - it’s mostly a writing and PR type of role - doing research and writing for the partners, doing public blogs and podcasts, ect. Comp will be higher but not meaningfully so at start up. Cont…
Any software engineers interested in coming to industry please feel free to reach out. The role is completely remote going into the office one day a month.
The recruiter wants to make me an offer for a Sr.Technical Architect (L8) position at the Salesforce CSG team. He mentioned a base range of $175k-200k and wants me to come up with a salary expectation. No mention of RSU yet. 1) What do you guys think I should potentially ask for in terms of Base? I personally think there's more room above 200k on base. 2) Is RSU even negotiable in this company? Location: New York (HCOL) YOE: 12yrs Bonus: 15% SignOn: TBD
Got an exit opp that starts right after New Years. Want to drop my exit notice a week before starting PTO for the holiday break to provide a decent transition and not screw over clients, but don’t want to get fired once I wrap up transition before the break. Has anyone seen or experienced this (transitioning right after winter break)? What was your experience and how did you navigate? Deloitte
Struggling with a decision. Just started a new role with good manager and WLB within healthcare technology. But another large tech firm/cloud/software reached out and willing to pay 20% more. Not sure what the WLF is for this other role. Should I take the better paying role?
Any consulting companies hiring? (I have one year of Financial analysis/business management experience) looking to do more strategy work. Thanks in advance for the help.
I want to exit to MBB but if that’s not a possibility what are the next best consulting firms? Looking for at least midsize firms (non-boutiques).
Is it harder to move up from Senior to manager in publicly traded company than in private companies? (FP&A role)
What are common exit opportunities from the Big 4 working in forensics? Also, do the salaries of the exit opportunities stack up against Big 4 forensics?
I’m 2.5 years out of undergrad- young but have a strong resume/experience. I was offered a job at Salesforce that is more administrative than I’d like - do pay/culture/reputation outweigh role?
trying to land an internship in anything related to communications/management. I have work experience as a server and a cashier, but nothing corporate/office related. been pretty tough so any advice to make me a better candidate or cv/resume tips would be appreciated. thank you!
Would you take a title cut (Manager to Lead) for $25k hike if there is no scope of promotion in the current job for next few years?? Clearly I am on that boat and idk what is the right move
Is having an affair very common amongst consultants who travel? Any personal experiences?
Folks- what’s the Amazon culture like? Have heard terrible things but hoping that’s not entirely the case?
I’d like to get HRCI recertification credits that add the biggest impact to my professional development. I’m currently a SPHR and HR Business Partner. What is the best training provider or certification to go for?
I currently work in a hybrid sales/marketing role. However, I would love more experience in marketing specifically so I can move in to a marketing specific role. Does anyone have a suggestion of books or articles, podcasts, organizations to follow that will allow me to stay up to date on the latest trends but also help prepare for a marketing centric role? Thank you
22 yo that just moved to NYC... how the hell do I get Prep? I’m very confused and online resources don’t seem to spell it out very well for me as a young person with no knowledge of insurance.
The cost of living calculator said I would need to have a 51% salary increase in order to have the same lifestyle in NYC. I’m currently making ~105k, which means I should make $158k to maintain my standard of living. My standard of living currently is that I’m single, have a one bedroom apartment for $1700/mth + utilities, no pets and no car. I like to cook during the week, and dine out on weekends. Prefer workout classes to a standard gym. Is this CoL accurate?
What would be an appropriate salary range for a professional services engagement manager role for a mid-sized and quickly growing tech company in SF? Basically a glorified Project Manager.
Needed some opinions. I’m currently pregnant and have had a lot of issues with symptoms like fatigue, headaches.. so not sure how I’ll be able to handle the coming busy season physically and mentally. Doctor gave me a note saying they recommend me not working more than around 40 hours a week. Worried about showing it to the execs. How would you feel if someone on the team used this or had this arrangement? Is it even possible for the note to be honored?

Can anyone provide info on the base salary range for a Strategy & Operations consultant at Slalom Consulting with 2.5 YOE? Not sure what level I would come in as. Would it be associate consultant? What is the interview process like for a role like this? Just got contacted by a recruiter and really want to prep now so I can nail this interview process.
What are peoples’ views about being asked your current salary by a prospective employer you are in “talks” with about joining? For context, I’m 1.5 year qualified and London-based, lateraling to another UK HQ’d firm. HR asked me what I was currently on, I reluctantly answered as I didn’t want to come off as defensive, but want to know whether this is something we should be disclosing? (Also, newly qualified start salaries are publicly available online in the UK so not sure why she even asked 🤷🏻♀️)
What does an MBA start with in management consulting in Big 4 in the US? Say the person is hired as a Senior Associate.
