Hi fishes, in urgent need of your suggestions.
One of my friend is having offer from Oracle Pune for software developer role in Oracle store team. but he does not have clear idea of the role whether it will be operations, support or development work.
Does anyone know what kind of work is there in store team. Also, is it possible to change the project once we get inside?
Urgent suggestions required...
Thanks!

Stopped recruiting at IIT, IIM, ISB for US roles.

Zero impact as H1Bs are experienced and campus hires aren't.

Most H1Bs are hired for technical roles, which isn't the same track as MBAs.
I don’t think many companies have had time yet to adjust their strategies, but you can bet that international candidates are already thinking twice about whether or not they will pursue opportunities in the United States or whether they will seek roles overseas in other countries. I have already seen this with students who we have outstanding offers to. They are now looking at other opportunities internationally as a hedge.
Rising Star
If the question is for US, majority of roles for this year has already been filled. Campus recruitment was slow anyways this year because of uncertainty in economy.
I don’t think campus recruitment will change. It’s not that 40-50% of candidates were needing H1 sponsorship before this fee change.
Asking for US campus recruitment only. Hiring from India for US roles should be stopped anyway.
Why? Are you scared of competing with the best?

How would international students be affected considering the rules wouldn’t apply to Change of status (COS) within the U.S. (e.g., from F-1/OPT to H-1B without leaving the country).?
I see the proposed changes as taking aim at IT consulting shops and those

I take back my earlier comment. Those needing consular processing—such as returning home for visa stamping after H-1B approval—will face the $100,000 barrier upon re-entry, potentially deterring employers from sponsoring international applicants or increasing costs. This could make H-1B less accessible for students from countries with long visa wait times.
