Be very careful. I was let go from my government contracting job for laughing about a Transgender males outfit because it hurt another employees feelings. The world we live in now is extremely soft.
No it wasn’t online. I laughed in person about a male citizen walking down the street in a neon green dress.
I also work in government and every aspect I've worked in has a social media policy. It would be a good idea to become very familiar with your agencies.
And this is coming from someone who has gotten in trouble simply because someone took a post the wrong way. I was reprimanded even after I explained the meaning.
Depends on organization but have seen situations where people lose job over it. It’s usually part of ethics or morality clause.
