How could someone get laid off due to "culture fit"? What are some concrete examples of this?

Trying to think of some places to leave Citi for. Already applied to JP and GS. Someone reached out to me today via LinkedIn after one of my posts of places I’m looking to relocate to and they recommended Capital One. Never even considered them. Anybody know anything about them? Good company to work for, good culture? Any negatives?

New job.
Moved from agency after 6yrs, into a startup (€8m Series A, high growth); first marketing hire. My manager is ex VC, seems to like managing by fear, let’s fire X, let’s cut the agency etc. sets tight deadlines & adds urgent items last minute. Others seem to feel I’m doing great but I am butting heads with him constantly about unrealistic workloads etc. Really not enjoying interacting with him, thinking about leaving... should I stick it out?
